OVERVIEW
The four-year institution, University of Wisconsin - Platteville, was founded in 1866. The college is well-known for its leadership in fields like science, technology, agriculture, education, and engineering. The college has impacted many communities through its research, skills, and expertise.
The college invited many companies from the surrounding areas of Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois. Some of the companies that attended were John Deere, Leer Truck Caps, Extreme Engineering Solutions, and more. Students from various majors such as Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, etc. came to meet employers that were offering internships, co-op's, and even full-time positions. The career fair gave students the opportunity to be face-to-face with potential employers and talk about their futures.
AT THE A.Y. McDONALD MFG. CO. BOOTH
A.Y. McDonald is always looking for new talent to join our team. The company participates in many career fairs, along with many other recruiting events and campaigns. For students, we offer part-time positions in both the factory and foundry. We also have opportunities to be an intern or a co-op, doing real-life work in marketing, accounting, IT, HR, and engineering departments.
The marketing team at A.Y. works to highlight the recruiting efforts of the company. We create advertising campaigns for our employment opportunities and post about our upcoming job fairs we are attending. For our social media platforms, we wanted to share what going to a career fair and visiting the A.Y. booth is really like.
